News Release from Chapter Voting Delegate, Donny Dockery concerning GCSAA's 2008 Annual Elections
Posted 1/25/08
During the 2008 Chapter Delegates
meeting the proposed dues increase was discussed along with interviews with the
candidates for the upcoming 2008 elections. Donny Dockery, from NorthRiver Yacht
Club, represented the AGCSA and will be voting in favor for the proposed dues
increase. The break down for the dues increase is listed below.
Proposed dues increase that is being recommended by the GCSAA Board of
Directors. The proposed dues increase will result in Class A and Superintendent
Member dues increasing from $300 to $320 annually and Class C dues increasing
from $150 to $160 annually. This increase is based on the published CPI for 24
months ending August 31st and rounded to the nearest $5. The CPI for this 24
month period was 6.1%, which translates into a $20 increase for Class A and SM
and a $10 increase for Class C. GGCSA will not have a dues increase in 2008.
Our chapter votes will be cast for the following candidates: President - Dave
Downing, CGCS. Vice-President - Mark Kuhns, CGCS. Secretary/Treasurer - Robert
Randquist, CGCS, and two (2) Directors - Patrick Finlen, CGCS and Sanford Queen,
CGCS. Both candidates for the office of Secretary/Treasurer are in the middle
of their two-year director terms, so there will be an appointment by the
President to fill the remaining year of the successful Secretary/Treasurer
candidate's term.
The Official Notice of Annual Meeting is posted on the GCSAA Web Site. Also on
